What an absolute delight. I'm from New York I placed an order Wednesday and everything arrived Friday by lunch. I'm aware we're close, but i know that packing orders can take time. Everything was so cute and I got an awesome deal on my order. I heard their perfumes were great, but I was still stunned at how great it was. Now I'm ordering for my mom as well. Service, quality, and price are all wonderful. Wish I had one local.

I love love LOVE Merz. It’s such a beautiful store packed with treasures. I want to spend all day here. Everything they have is high quality and unique. The only downside is their hours. I come from the south side and with traffic, it is really hard to get there before 6 after work. If they are open even maybe until 7 during the week, it would be so awesome Regardless, I love being here and I sacrifice my work hours just so I can get there before they close lol

How can one not absolutely adore Merz? Absolutely top tier for health & beauty products. The niche fragrance stock is the highest quality. The staff at the fragrance counter were so helpful, patient and knowledgeable about the products and companies. I was advised on alternate fragrances after being disappointed with the scents I came to sample. I walked out with new outstanding signatures. Absolutely in love with my new scents and very happy I found them.

My youngest daughter lives in NYC, and every time she visits me in Chi she insists on a shopping excursion at this incredible apothecary. So much variety of every type of self care item you can think of. European brands especially plentiful. Prices still reasonable, even in the face of Trump's idiotic tariffs. Felt like my bubble bath experience needed a refresh so decided to try a few things. Staff was helpful in choosing what could work for me. Wish I had unlimited time...would've spent an afternoon there. Forgot to mention the candles....every scent you can imagine. Great burn from the brand pictured below. Visit this wonderful, 150 year-old shop...your mind will be blown. PS...props to any business that closes its doors on Sundays so staff can have a day to recharge. If that bothers you then consider yourself lucky to have such first-world problems.

Probably one of my favorite stores on the planet‼ It was established in the 1800’s as a German Apothecary in Lincoln Square which was the German part of Chicago. The selection of imported soaps, creams, vitamins and scented body products is amazing and beautifully laid out. The staff are super nice and helpful. My son and husband get their specially scented beard oil there. I find it a wonderland of imported soaps and beauty products. When you are visiting this area don’t miss it. The store itself is so beautiful. It feels like we are visiting Europe and the scents are wonderful.

This is such a cool spot! I’ve walked by several times and finally went in for Apple fest. The walls are filled floor to ceiling with stuff! And they kept the old timey feel with the decor and woodwork. So pretty. Tons of skincare, soap, perfume, and more. It’s got something for everyone!

it would feel like a crime to not leave some sort of review for one of my fave spots in the city since childhood. ive been coming here w my family members since i can remember and recently started coming in more often to treat myself to some of their higher end offerings like their niche perfumes and high end body care like soaps or ooooo their lovely candle selections… plus their natural and homeopathic solutions are nice too for when i feel they better suit the issues at hand. im a little annoying and snobby but awkward and theyre always more than polite and willing to put up with me begging to smell a million perfumes and more. everyone i have spoken with is always so kind and i love to come in frequently. the luxury of their perfume selection plus the fact they allow u to smell with no expectation of purchase or anything is nice, tho i do try to buy something small from the store whn im in for a while. one of my fave places on the north side full of memories, plus their rewards program is pretty good attached is some pics from their perfume bar + a recent purchase
